As the world’s leading supplier of commercial aircraft engines, CFM International, a joint venture between GE Aerospace and Safran Aircraft Engines, faced a pivotal moment ahead of the launch of the LEAP engine. The existing website no longer reflected the scale of innovation, precision, and leadership that defined the business.
The challenge was not simply to modernise the site, but to create a digital platform that could speak with equal authority to industrial partners, airline clients, internal teams, and a passionate global community of aviation enthusiasts. Each audience arrived with different expectations, but all needed to experience the same sense of confidence, credibility, and technological excellence.
Working as Digital Agency of Record, we partnered with long term communications specialists Cohn and Wolfe to lead a discovery phase that combined stakeholder interviews, user research, and behavioural analysis. By understanding how different audiences perceived CFM and how they navigated the existing site, we identified the need for clarity, hierarchy, and storytelling that made complex engineering feel accessible without oversimplification.
We led the creative and experience design of a new digital platform built around streamlined user journeys and a premium visual language inspired by the elegance and power of flight. Distinct audience profiles guided content structure and tone, ensuring that industry professionals could access depth and detail, while enthusiasts could explore innovation, history, and craft with ease.
Responsive design was foundational, ensuring a consistent and engaging experience across all devices. A flexible and robust content management system empowered the client to publish news and updates independently while preserving design integrity and structure as the platform evolved.
The result was a digital experience that captured the spirit of aviation while delivering clarity at scale, positioning CFM’s website as a true reflection of the brand’s leadership, innovation, and ambition.
